Alphabet just awarded Google CEO Sundar Pichai restricted stock worth $199 M, making him one of the highest-paid execs of a publicly traded company this year.
Pichai received 273,328 Class C shares on 3 Feb that will vest in quarterly increments through 2019 so long as he’s still working for them, of course. It is the highest award ever given to a Google executive as well as Pichai’s first award since he took over the company.
Alphabet also awarded $ 42.8 M in restricted stock, and equity worth $148 M to Diane Greene, head of Google's cloud business since Nov 2015. CFO Ruth Porat also received equity worth $38.3 M.
